  34. PopUp FreeTime is a HackMaster extension for creating appointment and
  35. a task (if you wish) without quitting the current application.
  36. It wakes up in the week view, so you can easily find your free time slot.
  37.  
  38. Existing appointments (and the one you just created) can be edited with
  39. your favorite datebook application (DatBook and Datebk3 are currently
  40. supported).
  41.  
  42. There is a setup where you can choose the pen stroke to activate it, your
  43. default datebook application and if you wish phone lookup to be shown
  44. each time you activate PopUp FreeTime.
  45.  
  46. PopUp FreeTime is compatibile with OS 2.0 and later. It will not work on
  47. older (Pilot 1000/5000 with OS 1.x) models.

  60. After installing POPFREETIME.PRC, start "HackMaster" and  click on its checkbox
  61. to activate it. After that, PopUp FreeTime can be started with the pen stroke
  62. which is set in the setup.

  64. Important note:
  65. ---------------
  66. Before updating or deleting any Hackmaster program, you must
  67. disable the application first in the "HackMaster" control screen.

  73. Setup options
  74. =============
  75. Activating PopUp FreeTime:
  76. - "Pen stroke" - the pen stroke which must be used to start PopUp
  77. FreeTime. For example, if you choose from "Calc" to "Find", then you must put
  78. the pen on the "Calculator" button, drag it to the "Find" button, and then
  79. lift it.
  80. - "Single tap" and "Double tap" - PopUp FreeTime can also be started with
  81. the single or double tap on the silk screen button.
  82. - "From" and "to" popup triggers - choose starting and ending buttons for
  83. the activating pen stroke, or choose "From" button for a single or double
  84. tap activation.

  86. Known problem: If you are very fast with double-tap, it will not work
  87. correctly.

  89. - "Show Phone Lookup on start" - check it if you want the phone lookup
  90. to be displayed each time PopUp FreeTime is activated.

  92. - "Datebook app" - choose one if you want to edit existing appointments or
  93. the one you just created with PopUp FreeTime. Supported applications
  94. are DateBook and Datebk3.

  96. Usage
  97. =====
  98. PopUp FreeTime wakes up in the week view, very similar to the DateBook
  99. week view.
  100.  
  101. If "Show Phone Lookup on start" - setup checkbox is checked, thenthe phone
  102. lookup screen is displayed first.
  103.  
  104. Main screen
  105. -----------
  106. - You can view existing appointments by tapping on the filled time slots.
  107. Description of that appointment will be displayed in the upper part of
  108. the screen. Tap on the description while it is diaplayed if you want to
  109. edit that appintment with the dattebook application you have chosen
  110. in the setup. If that application doesn't exist on your Palm device,
  111. nothing will happen.

  113. - Tap on the "Go to" button to go to another week.
  114.  
  115. - Use page up/page down hardware buttons to view previous/next week.
  116.  
  117. - To create an appointment, first enter description. Use "Lookup" button
  118. to get the Phone Lookup screen. After that, tap on the desired empty
  119. time slot. You'll get appointment/task details screen. However, if
  120. description field is empty, nothing will happen.
  121.  
  122. - "Edit" menu includes all standard editing functions.

  124. Details screen
  125. --------------
  126. On the details screen you can choose:
  127. - time and duration of the appointment
  128. - date of the appointment
  129. - alarm preset time (or no alarm if you uncheck "Alarm" checkbox)
  130. - you can also choose if you want the appointment to be "Private"
  131.  
  132. If you check the "Add a task" checkbox, you'll be able to choose
  133. task priority and ToDo database category. If you checked the "Private"
  134. checkbox for the appointment, the task will also be "Private".
  135.  
  136. Appointment will be created if you tap on the "OK" button, or if
  137. you tap on the "DateBook" (or "Datebk3" - depends of your setup
  138. choice). If "Add a task" checkbox is checked, a task will also be
  139. created with due date set to the date of the appointment.

  141. If your "Datebook app" setup choice is other than "None", and if
  142. that application exists on your Palm device, additional button
  143. will be available. Its label will be the same as your setup choice.
  144.  
  145. If you tap on that button, datebook application will be started and
  146. the current appointment will be the one you just created.
  147.  
  148. PopUp FreeTime creates appointments in the DateBook database, and tasks
  149. in the ToDo database and it cannot be activated over an application
  150. which uses any of those two database.

  160.   Start Hackmaster
  161.   Tap on the "+" icon in the PopUp FreeTime row.
  162.   Enter required data and tap "OK" button

  164. Your PopUp FreeTime is now registered.
